Using a soft, commercially made plate similar to gelatin, participants will create juicy but precise images on paper and fabric. Acrylic paint, watercolor, and fabric dyes are brushed, stamped, layered, and textured to create colorful abstract or realistic images. Learn experimental techniques such as gilding and other embellishments. Finished art works can be framed to hang on the wall and used for quilting or other fabric projects; they are also wonderful for collage, artist books, and journal creation. $35 materials fee payable to the instructor.
